Our Mission

Waveline Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers artists in Hawai‘i and beyond, especially emerging and creators in underserved communities, to build sustainable careers. 

Dedicated to protecting the intellectual property of Hawaii’s artisans and fostering respect for creatives through better industry standards, we envision a thriving, collaborative arts community where artists, galleries, and creative entities share equitable opportunities for growth and impact. 

We offer workshops, mentorship, educational resources, scholarships, exhibitions, and collaborative opportunities to help creatives hone their business skills, pursue their craft professionally, and share their art with the community and the world, strengthening Hawaii's creative ecosystem.

Our Goals

    • Provide affordable art shows in underserved areas to create opportunities for emerging and underserved artists and bring art directly to the community

    • Promote art events island-wide and collaborate with other artists, galleries, and organizations to create equitable opportunities and broaden artistic reach

    • Support outer island artists to participate in Oahu events and expand future programming dedicated to their growth and exposure

    • Help artists showcase their art at events and exhibitions worldwide, amplifying Hawai‘i’s unique creative voice on a global stage

    • Offer educational workshops and retreats covering:

      • Protecting intellectual property

      • Professional presentation and career development

      • Working with galleries and navigating business

      • Marketing, financial literacy, and industry best practices

    • Share valuable resources, including legal contract templates and tips to uphold high industry standards, supporting artists in valuing their work and rights

    • Provide grants to cover essential expenses like travel, art supplies, studio rent, and other costs that support sustainable artistic careers

    • Host networking events that encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration, and community building among artists at all levels

    • Facilitate internships connecting emerging artists with established mentors to develop skills, professionalism, and career pathways

    • Partner with nonprofits, cultural groups, and community programs to uphold respect for creatives and strengthen Hawai‘i’s creative ecosystem through shared values and collaborative action
